Role Summary
We are hiring a Georgia-certified Elementary Math & English Language Arts Tutor to provide fully remote, one-on-one instruction for students in grades K–5.
This role is ideal for educators with a valid Georgia teaching certification who are passionate about supporting a wide variety of learners—from gifted to intervention-level. Tutors will deliver personalized virtual lessons aligned to state standards, helping students build strong foundations in math, reading, and writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, standards-aligned 1:1 virtual tutoring in elementary math and ELA
- Align instruction with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Math and ELA
- Customize lesson plans to meet each student’s academic needs and learning style
- Support learners across levels, including gifted, on-grade-level, and intervention
- Strengthen core skills in phonics, reading comprehension, writing, and math fluency
- Maintain detailed session notes and communicate progress with families and staff
- Create a structured, positive, and encouraging virtual learning environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Georgia Teaching Certification (K–5 or relevant field)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students (K–5)
- Strong understanding of Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE)
- Ability to support a wide variety of learners—from gifted to intervention-level
- Comfortable delivering instruction in a fully online environment
Preferred:
- ESOL, Reading Endorsement, or Math Endorsement
- Experience with Georgia virtual schools, charter schools, or homeschool learners
- Background in literacy intervention or math remediation programs
Schedule & Workload
- Flexible scheduling
- 2–20 hours per week
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
